MY APPROACH

Hi, I’m nATHALIE.

a Vinyasa & Yin Yoga teacher, nervous system guide, energy healer — Reiki Level 2 Practitioner and 500-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT 500).

Mom to a wonderful 6-year-old with another little one on the way. My practice is rooted in presence, embodiment, and deep energy awareness—drawing from both my background in Kundalini and my Tantric approach to meditation and healing.

I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students—including active, physically fit individuals, seniors, elderly individuals in memory care and nursing homes, and ASL students.

These experiences have taught me how to adapt and customize my classes to meet unique needs and capabilities, ensuring each person feels supported, empowered, and seen in their practice.

I help seekers and healers reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and step into their most Authentic Selves through movement, breath, and mindfulness.

Whether you’re looking to build strength, reduce stress, or heal from past trauma, I tailor each session to your individual journey. I offer a mixture of traditional yogic practices, somatic movement, breathwork, energy work, and meditation to help guide you toward balance on and off the mat.

By exploring breath, sensation, and subtle energy, we learn to listen deeply—allowing release, integration, and transformation to happen naturally.

My STORY

I embarked on my yoga journey in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. At the time, my mother was in hospice care battling late-stage Huntington’s Disease, and I was navigating first-time motherhood with my one year old daughter. Although I was extremely blessed to have tested negative for HD, I struggled deeply to accept the impact this illness had on my mom and family. It was after my mom’s passing that year that my at-home practice became my sanctuary.

While navigating grief and in my pursuit of healing I decided to hop on the journey of yoga and got a job at a yoga studio in Rockville, MD, where I completed my 500-hour RYT certification and became a Level 2 Reiki practitioner.

Yoga became the perfect space for me to process my grief, heal the wounds of my parents’ divorce, and find freedom from trauma and chronic anxiety.

Through the sacred practices of yoga—including the teachings of Iyengar and Swami Satyananda Saraswati, and studying yoga styles like Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Kriya Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Breathwork—I uncovered resilience and peace.

Today, my passion is helping others discover the healing benefits of yoga, no matter their journey. As a teacher and healer, I approach each student with fresh eyes, combining science-based knowledge with intuitive energy work to create practices that optimize your experience on and off the mat.

The Hitching Pin

Swami Satyananda Saraswati

A large camel train was passing through the desert and arrived at an oasis where it stopped to take rest for the night. The drivers were all anxious to sleep, but when they started to secure the camels they found that they were short of one hitching pin. All the camels were duly tied up except one. The drivers searched for some means to tether the animal but none could be found. No one wanted to stand watch all night and lose his sleep, nor did the drivers want to lose the camel.

After some thought, one of the drivers had a good idea. He went to the camel, took the rope and carefully went through all the motions of tethering the animal to a pin - an imaginary pin. This triggered off the signal in the earners brain that it was bound and afterwards when the animal was bedded down, it stayed firmly in its place all night long.

The following morning the camels were released and all made ready to continue the journey except one camel. It refused to get up. The drivers cajoled and coaxed, but the beast wouldn't move.

Eventually one of the drivers realized the reason for the camel's obstinacy. He had forgotten to release the trigger in the camel's mind and it still believed it was tied to the imaginary pin. So he stood before the make-believe hitching pin and went through all the motions of untying the rope and releasing the animal. Immediately afterward, the camel stood up without the slightest hesitation, believing that it was now free.

Of course, the camel had been free all the time, but it had allowed itself to be convinced that if was bound. It is the tame with each human being - man it always potentially free, but most people allow themselves to be bound by their problems.

It is the same with all the emotional problems which plague us.
